Layne and I on his 27th birthday
Being pregnant, while having an almost 15 month old is fun! oh boy is it ever! I cry, I laugh, a smile turns quickly into a frown, a fun time reading and playing with Nora quickly turns into both of us crying and wanting daddy.... and we're having another girl? as if Layne needs more dramatic girls in his life? HA life is quite humorous! Good thing we have bad days, so we can really love the good days. When the good days come, I quickly realize that my bad days are SO not even bad... they're just plain funny.Example #1 "bad day" if anyone ever goes to Target while Nora and I are there.. I give you permission to stand back and watch us. Nora wants to push the cart, while I carry her, with my belly in the way.. we run into most of the clothing racks. Both of us usually end up crying and leaving Target with nothing. (which is probably a good thing, Target has tricked us into buying one two many things)
Example #2 "bad day" the mail man didn't take the valentine cards from Nora to her cousins and friends... why? the sucker made the envelope too big. I cried. Don't worry, I went to the Post Office and they heard from me. What the? who am I?
Example #3 "bad day" we ran into our friends at Kneaders the other night... haven't seen them in awhile... I chose to leave and get french fries (because kneaders doesn't believe in french fries) instead of staying and eating a delicious sandwich and talking with good friends... afterwords i was mortified that I chose french fries over friends.. once again who am I?
Don't worry though, we have lots of good days too. Every time Josephine moves in my belly, or every time Nora comes up behind me to scratch my back (thank you Layne for teaching Nora this) and every time Layne tells me I'm beautiful and he feels so lucky to have his girls... I think clearly. Life is lovely... and then I just want to sit back and sip lemonade in my comfy pants and soak it all in..
Happy Monday! who else is watching the bachelor?!

You have learned, way earlier than I did, that HUMOR is the cure for what ails' ya! Love your take on it all. You are a fabulous mama and I love watching you with your beautiful daughter.

ReplyDeleteWow, another little baby girl is going to be blessed to come into a home with you for her mother, Layne for her father and sweet Nora for here big sister. I predict that she will be an abundantly happy little girl.
